Long Vacation Again...

The White House declared of a half day work today [31st of October 2007] due for the preparation of November 1st feast. I’m so thankful with the announcement because I will get the chance to the mall to buy some feminine stuff.. *wink* I never get the chance during our very long weekend. Eveyone will be back on 5th of November, isn't that worth it enough for a very long vacation? Hurray, I won't be waking very early just to fix myself for work.. Yeah..yeah.. call me lazy I just do this attitude once I knew I have a very long and deserving Vacation... Oh, by the way, if you heard about ‘Sangguniang Kabataan Election’ it was held last 29th of October. That’s why it was again declared as a special holiday because of the said event. Unfortunately, upon hearing news in the television there were hundreds aside from other Barangay’s or Barrio’s that was not been news about the failure election.

I was thinking, what’s going on in our politics here? You can’t trust anyone anymore and would even shed blood just because of a position, as if it’s a very high position. Where’s the good ways? No mercy to fellow citizen just because they’re fighting over some freakin’ position. I was really dismay and never voted because there’s still nothing happened in the place? I would rather become a flying voter than choosing someone who does not deserve at all. I have a very big question in mind, what happened to our fellow Filipino? I’m not really feeling good about all of this.

Before leaving this last entry of the Month, I wanted to Wish everyone Here a Great Happy and Spooky Halloween. Since its a very long holiday, I might be back ASAP here and post and share to you what happened to my Halloween in Gensan. But I will share every detail that I can think off to you My Amigas... Love you All, and I'm gonna Miss You.... Mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Hmmm… I am not in this part yet, but sooner though, and since I was TAGGED by MeryDith, I owe to answer this for her, thankies girl. Here goes:
1. My soon-to-be husband’s name is Jeffrey and I used to called him Jeffy.
2. How and where did you meet?
We meet through a dating website in person.com, as I got hooked up to the internet at work, this is one of my past time. I have my angels at work who convinced me to sign up and try the site. And I have to thank Cecile and April Grace for introducing me that site, because without them I would not find my soul mate. As I was new to the site and did my browsing; I looked for Username that would not contain of any nasty alias. I’ve seen Jeff’s name which is SweetPain, I was intrigued because of it. And while reading his ‘about me’ profile I’ve seen what he wrote that caught my attention. As he stated the word ‘REAL’ which, he really indicated it as big and bold. I became his comforting friend, we started to chat every day [during my break],  exchange emails and that’s where it all started for both us. We chatted almost every day in spite of the time difference except Sundays. And then, after that months later we become intimate with each other, we move on to another pace level of our relationship and we both find that we’re both compatible. His patient one and I’m the impatient, so probably we matched up.

3. Characteristics: What I am in love the most to Jeffy is having a great personality and a big heart that I don’t find in my previous relationships. He is a very patient person, which I really am looking for a man, because sometimes I have to admit that I am an impatient person. Generous, kind, loving, caring, protective that’s sometimes it’s too much and I felt choke. The good part is that he listens when I tell about him about it. Very family-oriented, close to his family which what I want to a man, he stays home at night, loyal, honest, faithful, comedian, industrious, and so much more.

4. You plans 20 to 30 years from now: Hmmm.. We haven’t discussed all of this for now, but what I want for both of us is to spend with each other, travel other places with our kids, just like everybody else’s dreams with their lives.

Whooaaa… if this is so true? I bet I will definitely panic about this. But asking me on how would I spend it? Lemme’ think….

I would probably spend it with the people who care and love me. I will not going to tell them that I only have 24 hours left in my life. I will bring them somewhere else like beach or in Eden Park and have this get together. Make sure that we are both happy having each other. And then at night, since I’m having this big plan with them, we will all sleep in one big room together, so that I will have my whole family sleeping beside me until my last breath.

October 19th 2007, one of NDDU’s great day, because the World’s Famous Boxer is here. Yup, you heard me right guys, his back and this time it’s all purely education purposes. He was welcomed and Congratulates by everyone here; he was surprised when he entered the NDDU Auditorium for he didn’t expect of such program made for him. There’s a little of forum and speech by him as well as an intermission of a student who sung his famous song [sorry guys I don’t know the title, bad me.]. Since I was seated in the second row front, I took pictures of the said program, but sad to say that my DigiCam isn’t participating well to me… huhuhu however, at least there’s some that I would like to share but mostly were blurry… my apologies… its just sucks…. The said activity was last for only 30 minutes then he processed to meet his professors.

I finished reading the Harry Potter and a Deathly Hallows just last September and after knowing the there will be nothing after that book, I felt this mixed emotions. I do admit that I have been obsessed with this book since the first day J.K. Rowling released the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I have been collecting and reading all inside the book and even that I knew what’s gonna happen in the movie, I still did not let the chance to miss one of them. Yeah.. yeah… call me whatever you want but when I do obsess with something I will really kept and simply dive for it…. Hehehe but I’m not a showy type of person that I’ll talked about it all the time, ask me about one question and I’ll tell you the whole book. [blushing]. As I was saying, I have this mixed emotions when reading the last book, I got even hit by one of the chapters in it that while reading, a tear were suddenly fall from my eyes. And I was crying the whole time until I come to an end of that specific chapter. I guess I was just hit by the story at all and being a soft hearted person it strikes me. So, the whole 7 books were kept inside my room and been totally putted in a plastic for future use of my siblings or others who knows how to take care of it.
Meanwhile, today, I read in Yahoo News about Dumbledore’s love life, well since the whole story begun, I have not heard about Dumbledore’s love life. Not even a single hint if he falls inlove into a women, I was shocked that JK Rowling reveal’s Dumbledore’s sexuality during her World Book Tour. This is what she said:
She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down."
Dumbledore's love, she observed, was his "great tragedy."

14th of October 2007, Mary Anne’s 26th birthday, 1st year Wedding Anniversary with her husband Rodrigo a.k.a Jack and their first-born son named Rods Uki Louis Pomperada a 6 lbs healthy fella and had the same looked as his mom. Early this Sunday morning, I was texted by Amor that Maan is going to deliver her son at emergency hospital. So I was like getting all of this information’s first because I was still on my bed so lazy to get up, before heading our way there. I was with Mistica, unfortunately the early planned to visit turned out to be an evening visit. We never got the chance to see the baby because the viewing hour was already past have an hour of chat with Jack and Maan and her experiences of it, and then we decided to go home. I haven’t taken a photo of Mary Anne and the baby, and Mistica only reminded me when were heading our way home, were already in the hallway. Besides since were very busy chatting, Mary Anne’s family was already there. So we’re like ohh…we’re gonna go home na…hehehe…I will share it to you next time, I’ll drop by there and take a pix.

What is Ramadan?

Ramadan (Arabic: رمضان, Ramaḍān, Ramazan in Turkey) is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur'an was revealed. The name "Ramadan" is taken from the name of this month; the word itself derived from an Arabic word for intense heat, scorched ground, and shortness of rations. Ramadan ends with the holiday Eid ul-Fitr, on which feasts are held. During the month following Ramadan, called Shawaal, Muslims are encouraged to fast for a further six days.

Laylat al-Qadr (Arabic: لیلة القدر) (also known as Shab-e-Qadr in Farsi), literally the "Night of Decree or Night of Measures", is the anniversary of two very important dates in Islam that occurred in the month of Ramadan.[citation needed] Muslims believe that it was the night of the Laylat al-Qadr that the Quran's first verse was revealed. The exact night of the Laylat al-Qadr is unknown. The Prophet Muhammad indicated that it was one of the last ten odd nights of Ramadan.

The Islamic holiday of Eid ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر) marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan and the first day of the following month, after another new moon has been sighted. Eid ul-Fitr means the Festival of Breaking the Fast, a special celebration is made. Food is donated to the poor (‘Zakat al-Fitr’), everyone puts on their best, preferably new, clothes, and communal prayers are held in the early morning, followed by feasting and visiting relatives and friends. The prayer is two rakaahs only, and it is an optional prayer as opposed to the compulsory 5 daily prayers.

Muslims are encouraged to fast six days in Shawwal, the month following Ramadan that begins after Eid ul-Fitr; these days need not be consecutive.[2] According to hadith, one who fasts the month of Ramadan and six days during Shawaal will be rewarded as though he fasted the entire year.[3] Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramadan


And this year it falls on 12th of October, as a sign of respect to fellow Filipino Muslims it is declared as a Holiday. Yup, you heard me right, lately this year we’re having lots and lots of holidays and it’s an advantage for some, but for a university? It’s a hassle and another problem, because we have already settled the whole calendar activity for the semester but because of reasonable things we have to move activities that is been affected by the said Holiday. So that means, I’ll be at home the whole time tomorrow.

Amazing Race Season 2 in Asia’s premier will be this 3rd of November. I’m sure this is really not a new to anyone because it’s a very popular game show. Composed of two teams and is challenge to win a million dollar price. I was watching AXN last night, and they featured of this game show. And I was like whattt??? I wanna join, I wanna join, I told Jeff before that someday we’ll join that game. Not only to give more challenged but as well as giving us a very strong relationship with each other. In that show, proves how much we support each other and how loyal or urge we are to win.

I went to visit there site in the morning, and find out that they’re still accepting applicants for 20 teams. I was like fooling around to Jeffy that I signed up with my younger brother IAN. And Jeffy was like what???!!! And there’s a lil bit of argument because, I promised him that we’re supposed to do it not with someone else, and I was like, oh, I was just trying to know your reaction if I disobeyed it. I know it’s not right; I’m giving him pains and trying to break another promise. So I was like, okay, hopefully one day I wanna really do this and accept that challenges with him, so you better take a vacation from work Jeffy.

I wanna give a shout to the whole world for my Sister Gladys Queen’s 33rd birthday today October 07. She was with her whole family in San Pedro Laguna, good thing our elder brother Rito visited them for 1 week due to company seminar. She’s the most wonderful friend I could ever have in my entire life. Advantages of having a sister, is that you have someone whom you can share everything, and I mean E V E R Y T H I N G. I love you so much sista… and thanks for being a RULE model to your siblings. Hopefully, I can visit you and your family sometimes this year.

I was out in the office for 2 consecutive days, because we [our company] had this Annual Seminar. So, I was way behind from updates guys. My apology, sometimes we just can’t stop things beyond our control. Well the fact is I can skip the Seminar but it’s my lost as well, aside from that I will be left from their topics and at the same time I will miss the fun and free from workloads… hehehe. So I grabbed the chance and now I have to cope up with my updates.

ê We have on an “Effective Communication in the Institution” topic, which is a very useful to anyone even if you work or just at home. This way, it will enhance your skills or way of communication to everyone.

ê Got a new dance, although this was a way back months old already, finally I / we got the whole video and on how to dance this. I sure hope that whoever sees them might want to teach their kids at home. Oldies, have a great time to keep dancing this kind of dance while we are on our seminar…
I am totally back to serious workloads again, since boss is back from consecutive conventions in different places in the country. No more, easy and laid back days at work, [those days are over Nova] Nightmares are here again…hehehe.. I’m pretty much sure that I will be very dreadfully busy here, hopefully that I can update my blog as much as I can. Well see won’t we?

However, inspite of the hectic workload, I still get to accept jobs. Sideline jobs, small business and because I’m a BS Computer Science degree holder, I have the skills to manipulate the computer and at the same time, [although we are not totally focused with graphic designing] I came up on making a special kinds of invitations and cards. Curiosity and explorations of others works and combined them and make my own unique output. So let’s go back to this small business/ sideline I got. I made a wedding invitation from Mistica’s non-biological brother is going to get married this Saturday. Imagine she gave me the job Sunday and as if I don’t have this awful work? Next time Mistica, you should give me an allowance so I won’t be staying up late at work and do all the stuff and won’t be rushed for everything….hehehehe…that’s okay, but please next time give ma sometime/ enough time allowance. Good thing that I have the gift of doing my work accurately… Char! Hehehehe…

1st question is: Why men don't love shopping as much as women?
Some men, don’t like shopping because they were more particular than woman, they have a fix mind into some item and buy it no matter how cost it will be.

2nd questions is: Why women love purses, lots of shoes, jewelries, makes up or anything they could think of to shop for themselves?
Because we used it for our fashion, our uniqueness to individual, and also it gives us the options which one to use.

3rd question from Daily Zen a.k.a. Allen: If you had to move to a different country outside of the USA, which country and why?
Uhmmmm… I really don’t have a specific country in mind though, but shall I say I’ll stay here in Philippines. Why? Even if I’m already located here, I could find that this country is the most laid back country in the whole world, we can’t blame of the very poor economic because the governments here were so greedy and selfish. But the places and the culture and the people and its traits are awesome. There is no other country that would be the same as Philippines…hahahaha… MABUHAY KA AT MABUHAY DIN AKO!!!
My question is: You were been into many fights with your very close friends. And because of that, one of your very close friends would tell you something like “we’re just keeping you because we have the same circle of friends and we can’t avoid you”. How will you feel? What will you do? Would you still stick of that friendship? And Why?

Because true friends are hard to find......and even harder to keep.

There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park. Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad.

Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by.

She never tried to speak.
She never said a word.

Many people passed by her, but no one would stop.

The next day I decided to go back to the park in curiosity to see if the little girl would still be there.

Yes, she was there, right in the very spot where she was yesterday, and still with the same sad look in her eyes.

Today I was to make my own move and walk over to the little girl.

For as we all know, a park full of strange people is not a place for young children to play alone.

As I got closer I could see the back of the little girl's dress.

It was grotesquely shaped.

I figured that was the reason people just passed by and made no effort to speak to her.

Deformities are a low blow to our society and, heaven forbid if you make a step toward assisting someone who is different.

As I got closer, the little girl lowered her eyes slightly to avoid my intent stare.

As I approached her, I could see the shape of her back more clearly.

She was grotesquely shaped in a humped over form.

I smiled to let her know it was OK; I was there to help, to talk.

I sat down beside her and opened with a simple, "Hello."

The little girl acted shocked, and stammered a "hi"; after a long stare into my eyes.

I smiled and she shyly smiled back.

We talked until darkness fell and the park was completely empty.

I asked the girl why she was so sad.

The little girl looked at me with a sad face said, "Because, I'm different."

I immediately said, "That you are!"; and smiled.

The little girl acted even sadder and said, "I know."

"Little girl," I said, "you remind me of an angel, sweet and innocent."

She looked at me and smiled, then slowly she got to her feet and said, "Really?"
"Yes, you're like a little Guardian Angel sent to watch over all people walking by."

She nodded her head yes, and smiled.

With that she opened the back of her pink dress and allowed her wings to spread, then she said "I am."

"I'm your Guardian Angel," with a twinkle in her eye.

I was speechless -- sure I was seeing things.

She said, "For once you thought of someone other than yourself. My job here is done".

I got to my feet and said, "Wait, why did no one stop to help an angel?"

She looked at me, smiled, and said, "You're the only one that could see me," and then she was gone.

And with that, my life was changed dramatically.

So, when you think you're all you have, remember, your angel is always watching over you.
