Look at that gloomy weather outside, as you can see the church in front of us has also been desecrate of that ominous sky. Wonder why it looked like that? Because as the past few days here, we have rain and snow alternately rule our weather. Mother Nature’s winter season is really in the air.

It is my first time to see snow in my whole life as we only got 2 season way back in Philippines. Fascinated by the white background I video taped and took pictures of every thing that is in front of my house and captured this church building with full of snows on it.

I know some of you have seen the movie as it was released earlier this year. I’ve seen it too; however, since Jeff has not watched it yet, I downloaded the movie online and watched it last night. Yup, we have another couple movie date last night, deal with up of the days that we choose to do our own things on our own then spending time together for some reasons. Movies I could say really work for couple who wants to spends time together, I mean there are so many ways to muddle through, nevertheless I can say for me watching movie together really worked.

The First time I've seen Snow

The moment I was here everyone is asking me about "how was it for me here?" the different of both countries. And one of them is the weather, friends and in laws warned me about the massive snow during winter and how possibly it be cold more than I think about it. Okay, now I don't want to think about negative thought during winter season, because this will be my first year and first time ever to experience different season too.

Anyhow, as the weather news telecast about what's gonna be the weather on the next day, I got excited on the ground that I want to experience and see snow in my own two eyes plunging from the sky.

While, shaking the rag outside the house, I didn't expect it that at the same time diminutive snow starts to plunge from the sky. At first it was a raindrops then next came the snow, I couldn't stop from smiling and hurriedly brought out my camera and starts taping it.

Wanna know my repercussion? Look at this and listen and tell me what I felt during the first time I've seen snow.

Is possible nowadays, as everything can be brought online as well, it was created that way, those people who don’t have much time and have no time to go shopping in the malls could still bought gifts or shop while they are just inside their house or during the middle of the night.

And when I moved here I don’t often go to malls like I used too, for the reasons that I need my own car in order to get there, as it is way far from where I live. I have nobody to go with me as my in laws are quite busy during week days. So instead, I choose to shop online to buy some things or clothes that I needed. Especially the winter season is fast approaching. I need thick clothes to support me from the cold and to keep me warm even if I’ll go outside and explore.

I’ve heard that Black Friday website is where you can find cheaper and sales which happens after thanksgiving. Good thing that they also have black friday ads that way I will be able to see what’s the sales or bargains that I can buy from them that is cheaper than the other store. Another advantage is that I won’t wait for a long line in the counter to pay for it, all I have to do is checkout the item that I want to purchase without hassle and stress free. At the same time, I’ll enjoy shopping more without experiencing a painful feet due to walking from one place to the other and standing longer hours in the line.

Nope, they don’t fight my friends; this time as I continued the movie marathon, I decided to shift it from the actions, adventures into Walt Disney cartoons. Since I was a little girl, I am a huge fan of Walt Disney cartoons the classic cartoons with a combination of songs in each stories. It is not that I don’t like the new released one, but I am just more fascinated with the classic stories.

KUNG FU PANDA: was released earlier this year and I haven’t got a chance to watched it on the cinema as I heard humors that it is not that fine. And I influenced by it and make up my mind not to watch it. But since it was still featured in the television, persistently I downloaded it. It's the story about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around...which doesn't exactly come in handy while working every day in his family's noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po's dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five -- Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey -- under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it's up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. While working outside one Sunday morning with Jeff. I’ve heard a crow’s sound and intrigue where it should come from I don’t see it that close to me. So the moment it sounds again, I found out that the crow was on the highest branch of the tree. I didn’t took a picture of it yet, because I was thinking that it won’t be there that long and the minute I’ll capture a photo of the crow, it may be gone. I waited for almost 3 minutes and since it is not just resting that quick I rushed to get the camera inside the house and tries to captured as much closer as I can.

So here you go, enjoy my friend Crow on the top of the tree so free. Take note of the sky behind it, so blue and so clear too.

Movie Marathon goes Part III

As I continued watching movies online, I came closer to watch [I think] almost every new movie lately. So, I also decided to recap those previous movies I’ve watched when I was still in Philippines. Yup, Myti and I make watching a movie habit, considering of the infos I heard from friends abroad. That when you are here, watching movie in a theater is way too expensive, and yes that was been proven when Jeff and I went the first month I got here. I was shocked how expensive it cost in each person and with matching soda and popcorn that just makes everything even worst. I could not forget my expression when I heard the cashier at the Theater told us how much it cost us both. I was like WHAT???? Yeah… for sure you experienced the same thing too. As far as I can remember we paid $16 for just one movie as well as a large popcorn and large soda.

So, I decided not to do the same mistake again, instead we decided to go into Drive-In Theater that I mentioned in one of my previous post. If you are curious about it you can check the entry HERE.

Moreover, as I talk about the Movie Marathon I have watched 2 movies lately, they are as follows:

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: A science professor whose radical theories have completely tarnished his reputation. While backpacking across Iceland with his nephew Sean, the two explorers find a cave that leads them deep down into the bowels of the planet. And so they go on a quest to find out what has happened to the scientist's missing brother, a scientist, his nephew and their mountain guide discovers a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth. There they discover a bizarre landscape filled with terrifying creatures. THE HAPPENINGS: The film opens in New York. People start to get confused in Central Park, repeating their words, standing still and sometimes walking backwards. We hear a few screams. A woman (Alison Folland) reading on a bench takes her silver chopstick-style hair pin out of her hair and stabs herself in the neck with it. Meanwhile on a building site, workers on the ground are chatting when all of a sudden a body falls. Panicked, thinking the worker just fell off the roof by mistake, they rush over to his broken body. While they looked over the body, another thud, another worker. They look at him confused; one is possible, two is unlikely, and when the third falls, it seems impossible. Then yet another and another, crashing to earth. When they look up they see many running off the edge, apparently by their own will, looking completely calm, and sure of their actions.

In the next shot, we see a science teacher named Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), talking about the event science can not explain about thousands of disappearing bees, no bodies left, no trace. A student offers the opinion that this is a natural event that we will never fully understand. While speculating on the phenomenon that is the disappearing bees, Elliot is suddenly called out of class to a staff meeting warning about an apparent "terrorist attack" in New York in which terrorists have apparently released some kind of gas in Central Park, and advising that school is cancelled. As they leave, Elliot confesses to his friend Julian (John Leguizamo), a math teacher, that he and his wife are having some problems. Official site

Chillin' Again

As the day goes by, I have noticed that the weather here in NY changes a lot and very different the one I used to seeing as I got here, maybe because we are now in another season which are FALL and the temperatures rises as much as it is then summer. There are times with the aim of loving the weather because even if it’s Fall I at rest find it summer.

So now, it’s a bit cold here inside that house, don’t fret I turned on the heater since last week and it’s only helping a little bit for me. My hubby told me a million times that it is not yet that cold, but you can’t blame me I was been in the tropical country that never experienced a temperature that low beyond 60F. The temperature for him is fine, but I do find it cold or chillin’, I know, I’ll get use to this weather but for now I can’t stop whining around to my hubby and here.

Anyways, may you have a chillin’ week days just like I did. Hehehehe…

Amazing Fall Season

Okay, as we all knew that FALL SEASON just started earlier this month. And as the day goes by, I was astonished of the changes of tree’s leaves into just different colors, looks liked it’s dying but nope, it’s only getting ready for the next Season which is WINTER. Geezzz, I don’t know what would be my biggest reaction when I’ll finally experience white Christmas, snow flakes falling from the sky, massive snows in the drive ways, roofs and just everywhere else that my eyes can see. Don’t tell me!!! Just sshhh for now and let me tell you what I feel after I experience the negative degrees and the double clothes and piss feelings later. Interesting for me and I can’t wait but scared that I might want to fly to Florida or CA just to get rid of the very cold temperature.

Back to fall first as it is what the SEASON we had now. I adore the amazing changes which brought smile into my face every time we go somewhere and all you is the different colors of each tree.

So, this is my first time I don’t want to miss any tree that we passed by so good thing that I brought my Digital Camera with me. Yup, I purchased it that way I can capture nice scene and moments we have here that I don’t want my family to miss it. In spite of being 9000 miles away from them, I still want them to be part of my daily life. [Missed them a lot]

Anyways, who else doesn’t enjoy, adore and fascinated with the revolutionizing of the trees? Though to those who live here for the rest of their life be passionate about FALL SEASON. What more to me? I never experienced like this in Philippines so I am enjoying it and will never end up incarcerating the moments this SEASON can give to me.
