Taking a road trip with your friends and family can be an
exciting experience for everyone involved. However, the key to having your road
trip go off without a hitch comes down to the time you spend preparing for it.
There are many things you will need to take care of before hitting the freeway.
Many of these things you may not have stopped to consider. Taking a few moments
to plan out what you will need to do before departing can save you a large
amount of frustration in the future. Here are some of the most important ways
to prepare for a road trip.
1. Service your RV
If your RV isn't going anywhere, neither are you. Having your RV
break down in the middle of your road trip would turn your fun excursion into a
nightmare of epic proportions. While mechanical problems can happen at any time
and for any reason, the likelihood of them happening decreases greatly when you
make sure that your vehicle is properly serviced. Many of the basic maintenance
tasks you can do yourself. There is no need to hire a mechanic to do them for
you. Changing the oil, as well as checking the air filter, belts and tires are
all things that you do not need to be a master mechanic to do. As far as the
tires are concerned, make sure they have enough tread and air pressure.

2. Properly furnish your RV
Since you will be literally living in your RV for some or all or
your road trip, you want to make it as comfortable as possible. Installing some
foam RV cushions and RV bedding
is a great way to make sure all of the occupants of your vehicle have a
relaxing journey. The Foam Factory is an excellent place to buy all of the
cushions and bedding you need. Go to

information.
3. Plan your route
Rather than simply drive the shortest way to your
destination, do a little research online to find a route that allows you to see
some interesting things along the way. These things could be historical
landmarks, beautiful scenery or anything else that you might want to stop and
take a look at. Thanks to the Internet, planning a fun route for your road trip
is not a hard thing to do. Deciding exactly where you will stop is the hard
part.

Truth be told, I have never ridden an RV before. It would be awesome to experience this even just for once in my life.
