A Peak during My Despidida...

I have been doing this movie to show you all the pictures I took from my Despidida in the office Last May 30th of 2008. As my resignation was effective that day, and now? hmmmmmmmmm.. I am included into those umemployed Filipino. I was joking myself about it, and so does others who asked me about it.

I do hope that you will enjoy it, as I did enjoy watching it... Again, this consumes my whole day again.

President's Office was been Robbed ... VP Academics Window Glass Cracked...

It’s been rampant nowadays that people robbed banks, hold-ups on the street, and such. Today, 23^rd for May 2008, another crime scene was held at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, [NDDU] as the President’s office was been inside robbed.

It all started when the working student arrives early in the morning to for duty to clean the office, when she found out that the glass of their door was been taken off, take note with a chair where the robber used so it can take off the wooden attached to the glass. Imagine the square glass wasn’t been cracked as it was really took off carefully as the robber do have its gadgets for taking it off.

I arrived just on time, without noticing that the spare window in our office got a cracked, not just an ordinary cracked but a big one the really split the whole into two pieces now.

Police came by to inspect the whole office of the president, and to think that all the ADMINISTRATORS of the school wasn’t here as they have their EDUCATOR’S CONGRESS in DAVAO CITY. They haven’t witnessed the said robbery, but for their concerns everyone there knew of what happened in the School.

The President’s office was totally in a mess, drawers of both secretary and the president’s table was scanned and the papers were totally on the table.

As cabinets were also been scanned, as if it is looking for something, the equipments inside were remained untouchable but some items inside the boxes were left opened.

Now the investigator was already there and has taken the situation under control. It is not by the way the first time it happened here.. That’s the second time around they were robbed. And some other office and laboratories were also robbed in this institution.

We are all wondering why until now, we have no suspect and the guards can’t even see what happened first before us? Something is fishy about these incidents here, maybe it would be better to put hidden video camera on the lobby that way, and we can see and monitor who passes by in each office.

NDDU’s High School Blessing…

It is today, yup I haven’t shared to you that the High School department of NDDU or we known as NOTRE DAME OF DADIANGAS UNIVERSITY, was transferred to our High School area, a 15 minutes travel from the College Campus. The Blessing of the building started at 9:00AM, with a Holy Mass, Blessings of the classrooms and the most important part is the LUNCH... Once again, i have eaten lechon [roasted pig] but take note I lessen my rice and some other foods.

Today is the blessing of the whole campus and we were there to witness the said occasion. The building was totally nice, I will update and post another blog about the said event, and will upload some pictures for you to see as well. I was just waiting for my friend [the photographer] who took the pictures from there.

The Replacement...

Yup, I’m talking about my replacement in the office I kinda sad of leaving my work here as I did serve them for almost 6 years this coming November 2008.

But I do have to move on with another level of my life...right? My love lives to faraway from me and it’s time for me to move on to be with him.

When I’m in the office, I seldom get close into my former computer as my new replacement is using it and I want her to get more familiarize to my filenames and the paperwork inside the office.

I’m always at her side, yet I can see that she’s totally tense for the first time, as I kept advising her to think that I’m on leave and nobody was in the office but her and the boss. That way she won’t get tense on her first day.

Like me, it is not that easy especially now that everything will be focused and serious, I have the confident as well of leaving the office to her hands as she knows the situations inside the office because she’s our former working student.

Hope that she’ll take and will accepts all the pressure the office might give to her and the challenges as well.

I guess this means to be BYE..BYE Company...

Shredder.. Shredding… and the Foot…

Last Saturday 3^rd of May, since boss wasn’t around and I have nothing to do at work, I decided to Shred some confidential papers we have in the office. We can’t just trash them and keep it in the storeroom of used papers since it’s pretty much confidential.

So, I did the shredding while my working student [assistant] was the one who pulled out the staple wires in it. I had fun shredding from the shredder, as if I was only playing cutting of papers.

Almost done with 3 boxes full of confidential papers, as it was also past 5:30PM and time for cleaning up, finally there were only few papers left in the office for a continuation of shredding. While swiping the floor, accidentally I moved the shredder [its has rollers on it that makes it too sensitive in moving if you won’t take extra care] it fell into my right foot and whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! I was hurt, I want to kick the shredder but since I just borrowed it from the other office, I can’t do it, because I don’t what to annihilate things that is not my own.

I felt an excruciating pain on my right toe, I want to shout so loud but I couldn’t as I have to show to my working that I’m tough, I seated on my chair and wanting to cry, instead I tried to bite my lips of that agony. And then, opened youtube.com, search for a funny movie clips that would help me relieved and putted my attention into what I’m watching. I got the chance to laughed, though and at least that helps a little.

On our way home, I was walking imbalance for I could not fold my right toe due to the accident happened.

Updating it now, I have noticed that the bruise was all over my big right toe. Poor right toe and I’m wondering that my toenail was turning violet, I hope it wont die.. huhuhu..

NDDU Graduation Day

It is one of the most memorable and unforgettable in every human's live. It is also the end of the journey of a student towards his/her sacrifices and journeys to achieve his /her dreams. Last March 29, 2008 was another additional memorable day for our graduates and personnel of NDDU. They've celebrated and accept the precious paper on their hands during the said date, one of them is my working student. I'm glad that after 5 years of service to us, not only that she struggle and fight for the trials she finally achieve what she deserves. Good Luck and more power to your new journey.

Not only that I attended the Graduation Ceremony I will be joining this University it will also be the last graduation I'll be joining since of my choice. I'm gonna miss everything here, after the ceremony all personnel was requested to proceed to the College Campus for the personnel's celebration for another year of success of giving our students on fulfilling their dreams.

We had guest and was given the privilege that the 1^st Founder of the School was actually came all the way from US just to be with us during the celebration. Isn't that awesome? His way old but he wants to give all of us the presence he could give to us, and for thanking us.

Moreover, since it will be the last Celebration I'll be attending too, I was asked to give an intermission number. Yup, without any hesitation, I give them a song that night. Thank goodness of the modern technology, video-karaoke helped me a lot since I have nothing to bring with me. I sung "REFLECTION" from Cristina Aguilera, soundtrack of the cartoon movie "MULAN". I was totally shaking but manage to end the whole song good, was given an applause and appreciation. Whew!!! Finally it's over.

~ My NDDU SimCard ~

Yup, you heard me right; Globe Telecommunication Company launched an NDDU Sim exclusively for NDDU students and personnel only last October 2007. This is the first time Globe initiate this kind of sim card for a University. You can't buy it outside and if you're not a student of NDDU. You can do so many things from this SimCard, you can download your Semestral Grades, paid for your accounts, buy credits and such too. So I think this is an advantage for them, had the Globe representatives to answer questions to all of inquiries everyone has.

~ Filed for my Resignation ~

I was not planning to file for my resignation this early since I’ll be leaving by end of May this year. But due to the needs of my office and especially my boss, she wants to have enough time to find a new NOVA that would give her the satisfaction I had given her for almost 6 years. Whew!!! I am not sure if I’ll get a comfortable job in my new journey in U.S., a mixed emotions was what I’m feeling all of a sudden, when she finally approved it and forwarded it to the President’s office for approval. Soon, I will leave my old routine works, old but boring yet challenging works here. That’s life; a woman has to do what she has to do. I choose and dream for this and now it is all coming true, and I’m glad these all happens.

I’m sure I’ll be missing everything that I did here, the people, the place, the memories and the experiences that this company had brought me. Helped people in the knowledge that my Alma Mater taught me, but life must move on. I have to move on, start it with the man I have been dreaming to be with in another life and in another country.

~ Taking a BREAK for awhile ~

Since the Holy Week is here, my company announces of Holiday starting on 19th, that means Hurray for me... I will be out for work for a week with pay and spend time with my family as well as the participation of the said event of the week. I'll be off in blogging but hoping and wishing that you will still visit me inspite of my absence. I'll make sure that I will cope up everything the next time I am back.

~ Had our Seminar Today ~

Today, we will be having our whole day seminar on Financial Management Seminar. This might be my last seminar to attend this semester since I am moving on so fast for the next couples of months. It is a very interesting seminar for everyone to learn and know more about life planning, budget and savings, investments, income protection and lastly the retirement. Philamlife is one of the most outstanding insurance companies here in the Philippines who wish to help and assist each Filipino on how to manage money to their daily lives. They have very amazing speakers who shared and at the same time explain things to us. Got some great reality situations on how to deal with your incomes, I’m telling / sharing you more about the seminar afterwards. Like them I might help you with what they bring and teach to us.

~ What's wrong with HER??? ~

I didn’t know what’s wrong with her lately [referring to my unit head], she’s been acting so weird to me though and I don’t understand her. Her actions and attitudes the firs time that I was hired here just came back all of a sudden. Is this because I’ll be leaving soon? Is it because of her personal life? Or is it because she just can’t do whatever she wishes to be done since there is a new president that she can’t be tolerated. Why does she do this to me? I have not done anything wrong with that right? So why put it all at me like I was blamed for whatever that is going on to her? It’s not just fair for me you know. And I just hope that she won’t be acting such things like that to me after all these years.

~ What does Instructional Visit Means? ~

Obviously not mostly know what it meant, semestrally our school conducted Instructional Visit to help faculty/ professors enhance their ways of teaching the student. Helps them to develop and would be given out the chance to be commented of suggested on the ways of their spreading the knowledge to their students. Teachers will be observed by College Deans, VP’s, President, and Coordinators. Faculty don’t have any idea, who will be observed on the specific time, that’s why they must be ready for the lessons that they will be able to teach on the 3 days observations. Everyone [teachers] go totally tense because of this event, some got fever after and some will have a sick leave after the unit heads observed them. They find it annoying but in the first place this would help not only on their techniques / procedures on their teaching ways to capture and teach student updated lectures but helping the school to give out a good output as their products.

~ May His Soul Rest in Peace ~

We really don’t know when our time to end up on this earth is. Early this morning, I got a call from a very close mare and told me about sad and shocking news of what happened to one of our faculty here. A PE professor was recently died due to his heart failure; yesterday he came by here in the office for a conference with the Unit Heads and then spends time to his fellow friends in their College, without knowing that it would be his last day on earth. May his family will get recover from a sudden death, and may his soul be rest in peace.

Muslim New Year!!!!

9^th of January 2008, is the Islamic New Year, based on their calendar too, that means in respect of their celebration and as the observance of Amun Jadid [Islamic New Year] falls on 9^th of January corresponding to 1^st day of Muharram 1429 Hijra. Amun Jadid is considered and recognized as legal Muslim Holiday by virtue of PD 1083 and Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 81, 1277 dated November 13, 1981. To support this day they allow the concerned officials and employees to celebrate the said holiday.

I’m happy lately Why? Because I’ve finally get a glimpse of my Anita’s baby girl. She posted a picture on her Multiply and to her Mother dear that let me did the first glimpse before others got the chance. Thanks mama Eds, I’m sure you are so happy with you very first grandchild. And Congratz to you anna and nikolia cataluna for the blessing.

After months of being pissed off with my computer, I finally got the chance to reformat the whole thing, and the good thing is that I freeze my drive C in order to me to have my 100% accuracy on the performances and commands I’m letting my CPU word. And now, I’m having a satisfaction for the performance it gave me, but since its reformatted, I need to do the installations of the software that I needed to fix the whole thing.

In spite of the fact that I was very busy at work, I got the chance to grabbed more than 2 reviews @ Smorty. Thanks a lot you really helped me with the saving I do badly needed for the future used *wink*. Even if I didn’t get high reviews I’m still very happy because even if it’s not that high price at least I wasn’t have a zero weekdays without having any post to review with. Thanks a bunch!!

A friend way back highschool and college days came home for years of working in one of US territories and gave me chocolates and a lotion which makes my day smile until I got home. Tyne thanks a lot, I really appreciated your thoughtful girl, and I love the chocolates you gave me as well as the Victoria’s lotion.

Friday, 07^th of December we celebrated Feast of the Immaculate Conception in advance, it was supposed to be on every 8^th of December and since it falls on Saturday the company decided to do the celebration on Friday. In one of our vision is to help and make those who are needy be happy. We have adopted children from different barrios in GenSan area only invited and spend time with us. After the Holy Mass that was held at our Covered Area [which obviously I didn’t joined with because we have visitor from the Commission on Higher Education Department [CHED] and we have to attend to these higher position people on their needs] anyways, lets go back to our celebration. As I was saying, we have adopted children and we are going to give them just anything to help them make their days as well as for their families. Everyone in this community is doing it, in every department from Administrators to Maintenance. In what way not only that we helped them, but at the same time we make each kid happy and also their families.

What makes me become Exhausted lately…

I’m always tired every time I came home from work. I think all my energy was been absurd by the work and the stress and everything in connection with my job. This isn’t fair for my body system, if I could see from the inside? I guess they’re having rally to get some rest once in awhile. Anyways, I’ve been exhausted lately because of these unusual things that came into our office. I have mentioned into one of the entries I made regarding the schooling of Manny Pacquiao here @ NDDU, since he have no fight schedules and trainings in the recent year yet, they were focusing with his study nowadays. And yes he had chosen our school, my company and Alma Mater to help him earn his bachelor degree. Since they will be coming everyday for a tutorial way, and they are using the conference room of the office. We [representing myself and two working students] have to wait until when will they’re gonna leave the place. We always have our lunch around 1pm where’s the mercy? And after they’re gone, we have to eat as quickly as we can.. Because sooner the bell will ring for the office hours, what I do? Well since we haven’t eaten, we delayed our time to entertain clients. Hehehehe… anyways, as long as we can help MP to get progress on his studies we will have to sacrifice and sooner or later that output will be totally be appreciated not just at campus nevertheless the whole world. FYI, I’m not complaining anything at all [defensive eh?]… Have a nice day everyone!

Manny’s back to NDDU

October 19^th 2007, one of NDDU’s great day, because the World’s Famous Boxer is here. Yup, you heard me right guys, his back and this time it’s all purely education purposes. He was welcomed and Congratulates by everyone here; he was surprised when he entered the NDDU Auditorium for he didn’t expect of such program made for him. There’s a little of forum and speech by him as well as an intermission of a student who sung his famous song [sorry guys I don’t know the title, bad me.]. Since I was seated in the second row front, I took pictures of the said program, but sad to say that my DigiCam isn’t participating well to me… huhuhu however, at least there’s some that I would like to share but mostly were blurry… my apologies… its just sucks…. The said activity was last for only 30 minutes then he processed to meet his professors.

I was out in the office for 2 consecutive days, because we [our company] had this Annual Seminar. So, I was way behind from updates guys. My apology, sometimes we just can’t stop things beyond our control. Well the fact is I can skip the Seminar but it’s my lost as well, aside from that I will be left from their topics and at the same time I will miss the fun and free from workloads… hehehe. So I grabbed the chance and now I have to cope up with my updates.

ê Got a new dance, although this was a way back months old already, finally I / we got the whole video and on how to dance this. I sure hope that whoever sees them might want to teach their kids at home. Oldies, have a great time to keep dancing this kind of dance while we are on our seminar…

I am totally back to serious workloads again, since boss is back from consecutive conventions in different places in the country. No more, easy and laid back days at work, [those days are over Nova] Nightmares are here again…hehehe.. I’m pretty much sure that I will be very dreadfully busy here, hopefully that I can update my blog as much as I can. Well see won’t we?

However, inspite of the hectic workload, I still get to accept jobs. Sideline jobs, small business and because I’m a BS Computer Science degree holder, I have the skills to manipulate the computer and at the same time, [although we are not totally focused with graphic designing] I came up on making a special kinds of invitations and cards. Curiosity and explorations of others works and combined them and make my own unique output. So let’s go back to this small business/ sideline I got. I made a wedding invitation from Mistica’s non-biological brother is going to get married this Saturday. Imagine she gave me the job Sunday and as if I don’t have this awful work? Next time Mistica, you should give me an allowance so I won’t be staying up late at work and do all the stuff and won’t be rushed for everything….hehehehe…that’s okay, but please next time give ma sometime/ enough time allowance. Good thing that I have the gift of doing my work accurately… Char! Hehehehe…

Uhmmmm… I really don’t have a specific country in mind though, but shall I say I’ll stay here in Philippines. Why? Even if I’m already located here, I could find that this country is the most laid back country in the whole world, we can’t blame of the very poor economic because the governments here were so greedy and selfish. But the places and the culture and the people and its traits are awesome. There is no other country that would be the same as Philippines…hahahaha… MABUHAY KA AT MABUHAY DIN AKO!!!

My question is: You were been into many fights with your very close friends. And because of that, one of your very close friends would tell you something like “we’re just keeping you because we have the same circle of friends and we can’t avoid you”. How will you feel? What will you do? Would you still stick of that friendship? And Why?

Whatta' Week....

I started my week full of URGENT works. I had to do the arrangement and compiling all the needed documents for my boss’ trip at Cebu for a CEAP Convention. I have to prepare all of it, so she wouldn’t get lost into everything that was been planned. Together with her were some of the Administrators, and other faculty to join the said event. They’ll be gone for the whole weekdays. I thought I will be having these relaxing weekdays, but I was wrong she left me with this massive errands and surveys. Even if she’s not in the office, I still got text messages and calls of the follow up task. Roamed the whole GenSan for the distribution of surveys as well as the gathering of that forms, some companies didn’t submitted us back the forms that’s why I need to go back to this specific companies for these craps. You might be wondering why I am doing this grrr works. Well, the school is again applying for another aptitude. I’m pretty much sure that this means I/We will have this speedy works for the requirements of the said application. And its for Institutional Quality Assurance Monitoring & Evaluation [IQuAME]

Hay…whata job…this is life, this is my work, should have to deal the way it is… having a University school isn’t that easy anymore. We received invitations from different companies and schools; we even have this big task to deal with unlike when it was still a College. I can sit my ass here pretty much relaxing, now? Its worst and I mean this is really a tough job… working under the office of the Vice President for Academics, isn’t that simple. Sometimes, I can’t even comb my hair when I get in the office because I have to rush for some imperative paper works. Since, I worked here too I got this different ill health, at times emotionally stress, migraine, and pressures.. If you do work that’s what you get...right? I asked myself, why do I have this tough and complicated job? Why can’t I be like just other administrative secretaries? Maybe they have the same situations as I do, but I doubt that they do have… I even asked myself, does my salary/ income here worth enough for the hard works I did? Now and then, when I’m too exhausted I wanted to give up and file for a resignation… I’m just a coward and never fight. I’m sure I’m not the only human beings here who don’t think occasionally the way I do. Because we’re just in an average level, we need to work to survive. I just hope that before this week end, I have this so called “break” before facing other workloads.

Test and My Day

Today is the last day of NDDU’s Intramurals. Yup… yup… yup… I’m sure the students’ joyful days are finally over. And its time for them to go back to reality, its time for them to focus to their studies, assignments and projects, sounds pretty much boring huh!?. But they have to do so, if they want to have a good life.

I have this VERY BUSY weekday too; I haven’t enjoyed even a single bit of this Intramurals unlike my college days. I have so much paper works to deal with especially when your boss is on a next week business trip? Man…it sucks its like everything is Urgent. But that’s life, that’s my work and that’s how I have to accept things. Anyways, inspite of the fact that I have all this papers on my table and since boss isn’t around anymore for a long time of staying in the office. Finally I got the chance to browse online and check some blogsites, checked my friends’ entry and my friend’s friends as well…hehehehe until I got into this sort of test. And tried…
