That was the feeling I’ve felt after taking the placement
test at JCC. Yes! I have finally decided to enhance my knowledge on the field I
love the most. It’s pretty bad when you take an assessment knowing you will
find out your IQ result and it’s too depressing.
Before you take, verify yourself to read more and be attentive
to everything. I wasn’t, it was one of my days that I felt so lazy and blah. I
know I shouldn’t blame it to my mood; however, it does affect your performance.
Be ready and wise enough to understand everything.
Anyways, after an hour or so answering the questionnaire,
I suddenly felt the guilt that I will never get high results! I even told the
admission woman about how terrible I feel with the results. She just smiled and
told me that it’s okay; there is no failing on the placement test. It is a way
on how they would help you get started with the program. I’m hoping through
this plan it could help me back on my tracked.
Not a big fan of tests either.
ReplyDeleteI am the worst at testing--no matter how much I study and actually know the material--put a test in front of me and I will have a memory lapse!! You will be fine--
ReplyDeleteAww good luck to you Mommy! I don't have any interest in going back to school wahh.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that I wouldn't receive high test results either. I'm smart on life and philosophically. Everyone is good at something different and excels at different things. I wouldn't base too much on one test.
ReplyDeleteI was nervous when I took mine, too. But turns out I am smarter than I thought
ReplyDeleteCongrats on going back to school. I was so sick when I had to take that test. It was worth it though, I got my degree and you will too. Good luck can not wait to hear about what you are taking.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on taking the leap! Going back to school is scary but is so worth it. I am sure you did better than you think.
ReplyDeletetest sucks according to my son and i agree
ReplyDeleteCongrats on surviving the test! They are really tough!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry if that's what you felt that day. Anyway it's comforting to know that the lady said that your performance won't be based on the test itself.
ReplyDeleteI am too is planning to go back to school well, culinary school.:)
ReplyDeleteI don't like tests :) Anyway, good luck to your new endeavor sis!
ReplyDeletePlacement tests are sometimes better if you just do what you can. I did my best on a math one and got placed in Calc right off. Wished I would have started lower!
