Relay for Life.. First Timers

The fundraising of Relay for life is a yearly event and this year it was on the 30th of May 2015 when my family and my husband's siblings along with Aunt Jessie and some close friends decided to join the said happening. It stared at 12noon and ends at 12 midnight. We registered our team and submit the raised money we collected over the month, which is not a lot.

Because it was our first time, we don't know exactly what's going on with the whole day and night affair. We know that we need to raise the amount of money we propose for the Fundraising.

There were families, friends and most especially those who survived the battle. Every tent has their own ways of activity in order to raise the money they projected. Also, along with the event, the participants also walk around the track field as many miles as they possibly can.

All we know is to be there, we walked some did more than 3 miles which is pretty awesome.  It's an exhausting event for us, since we don't have a closer tent so we are all under the sunny day that totally drain our energy, plus too tiring that we have to walked outside the track field just to get our food and other stuff.

Anyways, the Luminaria part is my favorite, they turn off all the lights and lit all the candles that were placed on the side of the track field and everyone is in silence. This is to honor those who lost the battle as well as those who were fortunate enough to have a second chance. Someday, when things get better we do hope to find a CURE for CANCER.
