What makes the Cat Cry?

What makes cat cry? One quite dawn I was awaken by a weird sound from outside. This was happening when I was still on my 3 months vacation in the Philippines. I tried to listen very carefully in order to figure out what was that weird noise. Yes! I got a little bit scared, for we all know it is very common that we have witchcraft's in the Philippines. I was still pregnant by then. So, all the uncertainties are rumbling in my mind.

Anyways, I can hear different kinds of noise of the old house and as well as outside. One main thing is the cries of the two cats consecutively. I don’t know why do they cry at all? So, to my curiosity that same morning, I went ahead and researched:

Interesting to found such learning; I am no cat owner so Learning about them is the least I know. Why do cat’s cry? It shows that older cats are just looking for attention, making sure that their human owners are still around, somewhat like reassurance that they were not left. Also the way they seek for their owner’s attention. Younger cats’ also cry, because of feeling anxious or just out of boredom.

So, there you go! I found this information online. I won’t be freaking out once I’ve heard cat’s crying at night time. As long as it is not a chilled cry like. I am glad that happened, for it helps me learn out of that experienced. Though, I’ve been hearing cat’s meowing or crying at night. I never pay too much attention, until that night.

My tyrant certainly does meow pitifully when she wants attention! Of course if I happen to ignore the pitiful cries coming from the other room--she asserts herself and comes to me and tromps on my keyboard!! If I happen to be sleeping she does not bother crying--she simply knocks the lamp onto my head to wake me up!! Did I mention she is a tyrant?

We don't have a cat at home but when I was growing up, we have a lot. Yep, they cry when they want your attention.

They also cry and yowl when they are in heat...it is really loud.

Hrm I never knew this. Ours doesn't cry (that I am aware of) if he wants something he hops on my lap if its attention he cuddles, just reassurance he snoozes there and food he hops on then hops off then walks to his bowl.

were they crying or raaaooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwing really long lol We have to run cats off here they will be on our porch fighting not moving just staring at each other screaming. My son always says mom the cats are singing on the porch. Cracks me up!

hehehe ... that's interesting ... in my PS class (Philippine Studies) , old tales of the folks has other meaning to it and I guess you knew it. I have a chilly experienced when I was teaching in the hinterland and my co-teacher was pregnant. It was a long night for all of us and the whole house was active of cats crying ... and flying ... and even landing on the roof like a log. In the morning, not even a twig. 6 of us had a terrible eerie experience.
