Scooters first started cropping up in the mid-nineties, and quickly caught on as a popular urban sport. Today, pro scooters are high-performance, specially engineered machines designed to help riders get the most out of their investment. Each piece of the scooter has its own job to do—keep reading to learn about the anatomy of a pro scooter.

The Bar

The upright portion of the scooter is called the bar. This is connected to the handlebars at the very top, which usually have rubber grips to help the rider hang on and increase control. Unlike many folding scooters for casual riders or children, the handlebars to not detach or unfold. They are welded or riveted to the main upright, and in some cases might be reinforced for extra strength. The last thing a pro wants is for the handles to come off of his scooter in the middle of a trick, so these handlebars are made to last.

The bar which is used to refer to both the handlebars and the upright bar) can come in a variety of heights and thicknesses, depending on the preference and body type of the rider. At the bottom of the bar is the headset, which connects the bar to the rest of the scooter. The headset is also linked to the down tube and the fork.

The Fork

The fork extends from the bottom of the headset, connecting the bar (and, by extension, the handles) to the front wheel. This allows the rider to steer the scooter. The fork is one of the parts that breaks most often on cheap scooters, since it undergoes so much stress—on pro models, it has to be tough and extremely durable. On lower-end models, the fork is often attached to the bar by a threaded top, or one that screws into place. Since this can become wobbly or weak when used for daring tricks, however, a compression system that holds the fork in with sheer pressure is usually used in professional scooters.

The Deck

The other part connected to the fork is the down tube, which runs behind the wheel and is welded to the deck. The deck is the largest part of the scooter, where the rider stands. It is usually made of a single piece of steel or aluminum for strength, and may be covered with grip tape that increases the friction between the feet and the deck. Higher friction means that the rider is less likely to slip off.

The Wheels

At the back of the deck a brake is mounted, which consists of a flexible piece of metal the rider can press down with their heel. This creates friction which slows down the turning of the back wheel. Basic scooter wheels are often made of a hard plastic core and urethane coat, but these are often not durable enough to withstand the pressures of pro tricks. Wheels for high-end scooters have a metal core instead.

Many pros prefer to assemble their own scooters, mixing and matching various parts until they create a perfect custom ride. The wide variety of colors and designs means that they can create a scooter that both showcases their style and fits their needs. Pro scooters have a lot of parts, but all of them combine to create a great ride.

In the Philippines, where I grew up, during the month of June parents and soon-to-be Bride will always find this month a hectic for them. As for parents who are preparing for their kid/s first day or goes back to school. For the soon-to-be Bride, they decide on this month to be wed because it's one of a great month to be married in the country plus they will be called a June Bride. I assume the other reason is due to the perfect weather and the season where it is ideal for couples to tide-a-knot.

So far from my family, it never happened to have someone get wed that falls in the month of June. Not sure if anyone ever tried to get into a busy schedule of churches, as well as the decent venues are probably fully booked due to those early bird reservations.

Soon I will be having my church wedding in the land where I grew up, I would definitely make sure that it would not be June, for sure, however, I would consider getting the month of which, I know most are on their vacation days. It would perhaps be a simple and solemn kind of wedding with family and close friends, and before that happens, I have to make certain to have the list of what to do and what to get, in order to systematize the whole thing from trouble-free to immense such as the rings. For someone who will get married again, I believe looking for a nice upgrade of your wedding bands would be a great idea and would be one of my priorities. Another thing, that I won't forget in mind is of course to ensure that my family and friends will have a great time during the reception, DJing the wedding yourself would be great and I would absolutely find a way to get the awesome one. After all, we want everyone to have a great time together with me and my husband on the day that we renew our vows.

They studiously plan out the number of boutonnieres and corsages they will need for the wedding party. The bridal bouquet may also be discussed in great detail. Those who assume that providing flowers for a wedding is easy may find themselves both surprised and disappointed at how their own floral arrangements turn out. In order to focus on all of the wedding details, many couples purchase flowers in advance so that they can get all of the arrangements completed. Sadly, many also find that flowers done too early often end up dead or very wilted on the wedding day. Professional florists often visit a floral wholesaler early each morning in order to ensure that their flower arrangements will be beautiful and fresh.

Cake 
So many shows on television today make decorating a cake look simple. According to the host of the show, all one must do is put a perfectly smooth coat of frosting on the cake, add some intricate lacework and flowers, and in under an hour, the cake is finished. Wedding cake disaster photos can be found on many internet sites. These failed wedding cakes include tipping tiers, sliding frosting and even crumbling sides. Building a wedding cake is a combination of artistry and engineering. Perhaps hiring a professional baker to create a wedding cake is a better idea than having the ongoing embarrassment of having your wedding cake topple over as you try to cut into it.

While it is possible to save money by doing some of the wedding preparations, couples should only take on those things that they are certain they can do well. By limiting the number of DIY projects they undertake, many brides and grooms find that they are able to more fully enjoy their big day without worrying about all of the mistakes they might have made.

Drive-in No More, I Hope NOT...

During the spring season, one of the main things I’m always looking forward aside from a warm weather, blossoming flowers, growing back of the trees is the opening of the Park60 Drive-In Theater nearby. Since I’ve moved in this area I’ve noticed watching in Drive-In is very fun and comfortable. Not familiar with this before and I’ve only seen this kind of theater in old movies. I never thought that Drive-In still exists and I’m so happy for it.

I was excited this year until I’ve seen the news on their website. #SAVETHEDRIVEIN, will it be closed permanently? I am clueless and I’m sure I won’t be the only one who will be dismayed about the information. According to the local report, they will be permanently close, because they need to upgrade their machinery. They need to upgrade their machines in order to get a higher definition/resolution as what mostly movie theater does. Nevertheless, because a small entrepreneur runs this business the machine is way pricey that they can’t afford for the upgrade

Aside from my wonderful son, my sister, and husband, what keeps me company during winter season, which by the way the time of depression, is a television series. Aforesaid in my previous blog about one of the series I am hooking up. Although, I’ve watched most of the current episodes I’m still searching for nice series that can consume my time whenever I get bored. You might ask? Why not playing with my son, well we did and we just can’t play all the time right? Sometimes Mommies need something to divert their boredom and I choose to divert it by watching different TV series. Thanks to the internet, I can watch the series without spending more time with commercials, I have a direct website that provides me the whole season and as many TV series as they can possibly have. I could enjoy each drama without commercial interruption too.

The Vampire Diaries

Normally, I don’t often hook with the television series until recently. I have to admit this winter weather stuck us up inside the house for many months and we come to the point that we get tired of our routinely activities. I’ve been chatting with my forever friend online while she’s at work to sometimes keep me company as long as she’s not highly busy. I would not say I blame her for my addiction as I’ve also shared her compulsion in other things. Anyways, she introduces me to this television series, as for me; why not give it a shot! I’ve seen that the series started for a while now, I do hope that this series would catch me up until spring. They are now in Season 4, and I’ve never started to watch one yet.

I was totally off beam; couples episodes make me want to give up. By no means, like the characters as this is a story of vampires, witches and other supernaturals. In addition, the cast were all cute and hot and they played their part pretty well.

Never had I thought, I was hooked to the series I could not stop from watching and makes me sleep very late every night. Time flies, as I never imagine I can catch up to the recent season and episode. And just last night, was the last episode of the series.


Just to share with you, if you haven’t watched The Vampire Diaries, you should, may be not be suitable for younger children as there were more vampire killings, too much body affection and more. 

3D Thor Date with my husband

Oh, it was after my Special Birthday when my dear spouse treats me to into a movie. I have seen the first one, and was really excited to wait for the next movie. It was perfect as the movie is now showing the day after my Birthday, just a great afternoon to have a date with my love of life.

It was a very nice movie afternoon, we expect to have a movie goer because it is new, and apparently our expectation was incorrect. There were only few movie goers that time, which, I am thankful for that way, when it is not crowded there will be plenty of vacant seats. There is a big chance that nobody is going to sit in front of me and that’s what happened.


The movie is great, can’t wait for the next series, hopefully this year or next year.

Things we can enjoy while at home and watching television

Where is the best place to relax after an exhausting day at work, at home right? I am pretty sure that most of us would like to just go home after work to be relaxed and just want to change those fancy uniforms/work clothes to pajamas and shirts. I know for the fact about this situation as I was working before after I earned my Bachelor Degree. I am always up around 6 o’clock in the morning and stays for at least 8-9 hours in the office, I am very sure that my body is very tired for the whole day work. The only thing I want to do is I need to be at home and just do nothing while I rest for the next day. What is it that we can do at home that we truly wanted to be there? You might ask that, well there are so many things. You can relax together with your precious family or you can be lazier at home, and no need to wear those fancy clothes or simply enjoy the day by watching television.

Television is a great way to save money and at the same time enjoy the comfort of your home while watching new release movies, on-demand movies, your favorite television shows, celebs, or if you want to enjoy the new music release, or wants to see live sports and more. You can all get those if you subscribe to Time Warner Cable, and I know for the fact since we are one of their long time subscribers. I enjoyed their services because they are fast when you need repairs, they are there to help you when you need assistance on your television, also if you have Time Warner Internet they have so far the fastest internet access I’ve tried.

Looked what we bought

It’s been a while since I mention to my partner that we need to save money towards our bills as much as we can. We need to think twice about what would make us do that without hurting the ways to entertain us. One of it was to get rid of Cable, or basic Television. I’m not a television watcher as long as there is an internet access where I can find anything-online FOR FREE. Moreover, since my husband isn’t at home in the morning and plays on his computer when his home, the only thing we use the television is when our 3 years old is watching Nickelodeon. Another thing he isn’t into television too, we can go a day without tuning into the television. Therefore, we finally bought Roku to be able to access those basic shows without getting a satellite. As long as we have internet we are set, so far so good. I didn’t search that many shows but my husband did.


This was taken the night we installed the said device. And the $30 dollars for less our monthly bills towards the cable would be a big savings for us.

Ballroom Dancing is what my parent's past time

During my son’s napped, I always remembered the fast days together with my family in the Philippines, thinking how chaotic we are siblings with each other in a fun way during those younger years. The memories we built up with each other is truly treasured, especially when I see things that would remind me of what are the best times we do without being involved with technology.


I remembered that my parents were younger during those times and they even enrolled themselves in a ballroom dance lessons to have past times. They sometimes went to a family friend’s house for the lesson and just randomly dance. I remember it was one of the famous dances during those years. Moreover, it is very nice to see that your parent dances in front of you during Christmas, New Years and even their birthday celebrations.

Do you ever watch the same television show with your child? I do watch the same show with my son, especially when they play Timmy and the Fairly Oddparents on Nick. Very entertaining plus I don’t mind watching the cartoon shows, for I like it is another way to relax my mind. Granted that the show isn’t repeats, for I could care less.

Anyways, on this episode the kid name Timmy was playing that nice Trombone in his class, unfortunately he doesn’t have any talent at all, and that’s where his classmates start laughing at him. His fairy godparents are with him all the time to grant all his wishes, because he is unfortunate kid the Fairy head decided to give Timmy his fairies to help him with all his wishes.

When you are bored at home and nothing much you can do. Sometimes there are random questions that pop in your mind. Like for example, I was watching music videos to relax my mind for awhile, and all of a sudden I was asking myself about how do musicians record their music? Or what do they do? We all know that each individual has their own ways. Some musicians would rather be alone in order to be motivated, others would like to wind up plus go somewhere else and record their experience by using a nice tascam dr-40 from musicians friend . This portable digital recorder is very magnificent. I have no clue before about the difference of each recorder. However, through online searching it gives the idea of what it is capable of. I guess this is why; I need to read more and update myself to our fast-paced technology.

Nowadays, we have so many ways to entertain ourselves; one way to do that is by the use of modern technology. If you have little kids and can not go out to certain place, that’s not a problem anymore. All you need to do is go online and just simply play the games you would like to play. I remember when I was little that even those years video games are way too popular. It was those kinds of remotes that we use while we have this player in front.
