If possible not to smoke for health sake then no need to have Ecig. Even Ecigs can cause health problem someday. But yes it is a good alternative for those who wants to quit smoking

It must be uncomfortable to smoke with metal or plastic with ecigs too. I don't know, I guess it's an alternative for smokers.
