Crappy Days, which lead to remember the past

Yup, that will be for the rest of the week here in NY. Assuming that we planned to clean the backyard for the week days and it would not be happening because of the crappy weather outside. No sunshine, cold breeze I mean, if you were me, you would not continue it right? Or am I presently being lazy because of the weather? Ohh.. I don’t know..

So now I am stocked inside the house [usual] and cleaning, watching my favorite TV Shows and most especially browsing, Blogging and EC dropping. Oh… which I am addicted not long as it helps a lot to lift up my Alexa and RealRank.

Subsequently, while scanning some pictures I took from the past few days as I come up seeing the one I was keeping for quite sometimes hoping with the purpose of sharing it here with you. It is not a picture; instead it is a video which I would like to you to see. I took this while I was watching a Walt Disney Cartoon entitled Les Miserables. Moreover, it is a song which I learned to sing first, as Mother Earth [my Mom] trained me how to sing it as well. Until now everything is unsullied from my mind on where I sung the song and how my mother skilled me too.

Words are not enough as I describe how in high spirits I was when I heard and seen this once again on the television, somewhat lonely but truthfully nice, hence I am here to share you what touches my heart, looking forward that you'll find the song excellent as well as the video too. This immediately hark back me of my childhood days.

These falls was taken during our visit at Iligan City, Philippines. Yup, that was last January of this year. While digging through my files I came out finding this memorable falls from the journey / trips that we had this year.

It is one of the famous Philippines Tourist Attractions and people here even make sure that they would eventually improve and preserve the nature while it is also been used. What I mean is that, you can do both right? just have to make sure the people will not abuse the Nature. So the lovely sky is out there and so does the deep of the falls.

Okay, I know that Bridal Shower was supposed to be accomplished before the marriage, right? since everything here in me is delayed everything will came up late too. That's fine as I know about it. Also it is a suprise party made by my 2 sweet sister-in-law and I am glad that they are more excited than I am. Although, I have never gone into this before considering some of my friends back home gets married, we usually don't have Bridal Shower made for them it will depends on the relatives, in-laws or whoever of the bride if they want to plan for it.

As I said, I think I'm just lucky that I got sweet in-laws, for sure you do have the same, right? That's one of the best part in marriage life, having superb in-laws where you can turn into, what can you ask for? They are open to you that way, you won't be hunch alone in these new home you choose.

Anyways, they send me an invitation thru mail, when I opened the mail it gives smile on my face as it is cute and humorous too. Okay, I find it humorous, hehehe...

Struggling with Service Pack 2 [SP2]

Since monday right after I got my MagicJack[MJ] in the mail, I got so excited to try it on if it's gonna work in our computer that way I can call my friends in the other sides of the world for FREE. Yup, you heard me right here... no monthly bills, no hidden fees and to think that you'll only spent $20 a year just to renew your license to the software/hardward you bought from them. Okay, here's what happened, I immediately connect the hardward MJ to my computer and as it is plug and play it automatically install, it was in progressing mode but all of a sudden it went into an error saying my OS isn't suitable for the said hardware. And I say, wth!!!! they have certain requirements for these program and it should be upgrades Operating System. Now, I got freak-out because obviously the people I knew who can helped me with this matter is all in the Philippines. And for sure that I have to do it by myself to resolve these problem.

I have been pissed because I couldn't find the right upgrade installer that way it would save time

and I would not be able to do the 'New Installation' which causes my files to be totally deleted and have to make sure that I have to re-install the whole hardward just in case my computer needs the installer. Moreover, I am so blessed that a very kindhearted and humble friend of mine way back in college was online. Though I know that I'm going to distract him from his work which thank God he's night shift too, without any hesitation I decided to bug him and asked for his help.

All the way he was there for me to give me installers to download just to make sure that we save time while upgrading instead of doing the whole process and consumes our time a lot. I can tell you he knows A LOT, and i mean A LOT because not only that he works for the popular Trend Micro Company he also one of those tough men in it. He is as well a computer science degree holder that's why I knew him and I am very much thankful to him because he was such a big help for me. Don't worry, if you want to make your name private I won't mention it here. All I can say is that after the trial and error that we have for almost 2 days we finally solve the Service Pack 2 installer for my windows XP that I am looking for.

I am very much happy now because for sure that I know that MagicJack worked in my computer it would also be a lesser fee for me yearly. So, if these thing is really useable for me? I might sending one for my family in Phils that way I can call them or they can call me anytime and anywhere.

I will really appreciate your time and effort and the BIG HELP you gave to me and now hopefully that my obsolete computer won't mess up that way I can keep the hardwork that you did for it. Finally the battle is over!

I am 100% not blind here, I am referring of going to the city that never sleeps. For mostly know that I live in New York State that does not mean that I am at Brooklyn or Queens City in New York, New York. We are 6 hours drive away from "The city that never sleeps", since we are that close now, me and my in-laws together with my husband plans to visit that big and famous city on of this day this year. Ano kayang halaga ng tagumpay sa career if it has been achieved at the expense of the family. What profit does a man have kung mawawala naman ang kanyang pamilya? OO nga, meron siyang salapi na milyon ang halaga, magandang mansyon, travels around the world, and cavorts with an array of girls, women, and ladies, pero naman ang kapalit kung ikaw naman ay being hated by your daughters and is the mortal enemy of your sons. Can success in career really make up for failure at home? Which then is more important, wealth or family. A great number of us would readily say family. Pero totoo kaya na ang ating sinasabi ay ating ginagawa. But do we walk our talk ika nga? Are we willing to translate our mindsets into concrete actions? Day by day, we are bombarded by 52 million dollar questions, Sino ba ang mahalaga ang mga anak ko o ang trabaho ko.

To my fellow employees, I don't know how you react out there or would Answer my questions. In my case, as an accountant who always spend overtime in the office to be able to submit deadline reports come month-end or cut-off period, I have made unforgivable mistakes. If I have to live my life again, I would need to overhaul my priorities, to rechannel the efforts that I Have been exerting with passions and commitment . I thought all along na ang Lahat ng ginagawa kong pagpapahirap at pagtratrabaho to the max to get a promotion, I am doing it all for the family. But I was wrong. Today I know better. When my wife or daughter is on the phone I make sure that I attend to them first, never mind if there are urgent things to attend or papers to submit to my superior, after all they can wait for 10 minutes...but if I deny the 10 minutes that is so important to them, it would have a lasting effect than to my Boss who might be replaced in a couple of years.

My family is my top priority, period. It is not a choice between my family and my career. MY FAMILY IS THE REASON WHY I NEED A CAREER. My career will come and go, employers can come and go but one's family Will remain even beyond the grave. They even take care of our graves. Noon kahit mayroon affairs sa school ang aking mga anak, I'd tend to preponderate toward the official duty and delegate the affairs of my kids to my wife. I used to operate on the paradigm that I should focus on the duty first before pleasure. Now I know that MY first duty is toward my loved ones. I should put my time where my heart belongs.

Today if I will to do it all over again, I'd reverse my priorities. My son will only graduate once in elementary and only once in high school, I will make sure I will be there, I will file my vacation leave and if my Boss rejected it because I need to attend to a company function where I am required to attend, I would still go to my kids graduation no matter what the consequences are. This time I am willing to become an average corporate officer, a so-so business executive but a great father. I'm willing to be reprimanded by my Boss for a late report but not hated by a daughter for not remembering her birthday every year.....na ilalabas ko siya the whole day and cherish the moments every minute dahil alam ko hindi ko na maibabalik ito kapag lumaki na siya at kung gawin ko man later, baka huli na. There are more important matters compared to corporate business meetings, Family peace and love- these are the ones that matter most.

BUT I SPEAK ONLY FOR MYSELF. I DO NOT IMPOSE VALUES ON YOU GUYS OUT THERE.

If you think possessions are more important than family, go ahead. Spend 20 hours in the office, bring home your corporate work. Neglect your wife.. don't spend quality time with your kids. Don't attend important family gatherings. Find work that you are away for a week and only meet your family every week-ends, oh what a waste. Delegate raising the children to your spouse. Leave the young kids to the nanny. Let the driver brings your kids to school. Ask someone to represent in your son college graduation. If you find something wrong at home, don't mind it, anyway your concentration is in your job. You have your career remember? Don't greet your father and mother on their anniversary. Spend all your time in the company. Baka mawala ang tiwala ng Boss mo sa iyo sayang ang pinagpaguran mo ng matagal. If you have aging parents, don't visit them. enjoy your career in isolation. Drink, dance, be merry, But in the end, you lose all the love ones who love you more, after neglecting them. No wife, no kids, no family. you are alone and pretending to be happy. don't blame your company. don't lay the Burden on your Boss. Hindi ba, You made the choice? You opted to put more value on your career. Dahil sabi mo pinaghirapan mo lahat ito and pangarap mo na ito simula pagkabata dahil mahirap ka lang ikamu...gusto mong yumaman. You gambled and you lost.

I know of an executive na masyadong depressed...every week lang siyang umuwi sa pamilya niya. Week-ends lang niya nalalaro ang mga bata kung minsan required pa mag-stay ng sabado sa office, who finds no meaning in his life, he's got the money, a beautiful wife who according to him might be hiding something from him (you know what I mean) and the kids are not genuinely closed to him, for no apparent reason he had pulled the trigger to his head. He's got everything and he lost everything. that is the tragedy of it all.

As for me, I know better. After all the pains, the burdens of mistaken priorities, I have made my choice. Anytime, anywhere, my family comes first. My career, my business, my outside clients, all my other pursuits are only means to the end of all my sacrifices, my wife, my sons, my daughters, my family. I shall thus manage my various objectives well. there shall not be conflicting objective anymore. For I now know clearly my priorities and shall be faithful to them. I shall be willing to give them up; excess money, much comfort, travels, and girls for and in the name of the family. That is simple and straightforward.

PS. Are you aware that if we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? And we often treat strangers and coworkers better than members of our family.

Yup, it's my niece 8th birthday and my mom's 57th birthday too. Too bad this is the first time ever that I am missing special occasion in my family since I moved here. Though it is pretty much difficult to deal with? I have to make sure that I will be more stronger and accept that no matter what, things won't be the same anymore. Anyways, before I get too emotional here I just want to give a Blast Announcement for this two persons who is so dear to me.

All I can wished for both is LONG LIFE, GOOD HEALTH, MORE HAPPINESS, MORE SUCCESS WITH FAMILY AND MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT MANY, MANY, MANY MORE BIRTHDAYS TO COME.

Delayed news for the Wedding Day...

As I have previously mentioned to my earlier post that I am getting married, the fixed date was clear but the exact time were not. So, the day has finally came and around 3:30pm EST we are bind by Judge Walter in the Village of LakeWood, County of Chautauqua and state of New York, USA.

Before that, the day goes smooth as it is just one of the simple and ordinary day. When the time goes by, I got a mixed emotion whether I am happy, excited or nervous. My bana's best friend which happens to be his best Man too came over to the house that much early and then men got to do what men got to do.... Nope, not what you think, instead they enjoyed themselves and played Mario Cart with Nintendo Wii.

We really thought that there will only be 8 of us in the courthouse and witnessing our BIG DAY. As we got out from the car, we saw almost the whole family of my bana, we are even more suprised and overwhelmed that they are so happy to be with us on the very special day. The rest of the way was emotional, his whole family welcomed me that warm to be a member of their family. There was my bana's grandma, mom, 4 sisters, 1 aunt, niece, his bestfriend, me and jeffy and the judge.

The makes everything goes smooth and memorable too. I captured some photos after the ceremony and hopefully that I'll get a hold to my SIL who took the pictures and videos during the entire event.

Though it is very emotional for me as my family or friends were not here to succeed the whole event? I am sure they are happy and I am very much happier because knowing that even though they are faraway from me. I got my bana's family who is been there for me especially during days like this that I need a family to at least be with me.

Since I moved here in US of A for good I only got repeated clothes to wear all the time. From home clothes to the clothes I used when I go out somewhere else. I left mostly of my clothes in Philippines and decided to bring the necessary clothes as I was advice that I might be able to used it when time comes. And they are actually right since they have the experienced to shared and just concerned that I won't be encountering what they have been through.

I was browsing online hoping that I could hit some online stores or website where I can buy my own clothes whether is it for home clothes or for fall or for winter jackets. I need some jackets to used once in a while since the weather here is starting to get chill and you might call me freak or something? But, when you see it is a normal and humid weather for them? It is way too different for me as I am used into tropical weather for 26 years in my life. Anyways, so I finally found this website / online store that gives me many different clothes to choose from. From the Cheap Jeans that I will be needing mostly for everyday.
